ISB provides a rigorous multilingual education, inclusive cultural experiences, and a fearless global mindset needed to learn and lead, both today and in the future.

The International School of Boston (ISB) opens a world of possibilities for students from preschool through Grade 12. ISB provides a rigorous multilingual education, inclusive cultural experiences, and a fearless global mindset needed to learn and lead, both today and in the future.
At ISB, students are immersed in a dynamic learning environment. Classes are taught in English and French, equipping students with not only the ability to fluently speak at least two languages, but also empowering them to think in at least two languages. Their minds will be forever opened to the diverse ideas, insights, and innovations of peoples, countries, and societies that they will discover at ISB and beyond.
The ISB priority application deadline is January 15. There is no fee to apply, and need-based financial aid is available. No prior knowledge of French, Chinese, or Spanish is required for admission.

We initially signed our kids up to pre-K and K at ISB so that they could learn French during the critical language acquisition years of their lives. 6 years later, both kids are still at the school, and we could not be happier. The quality of the education is unmatched! I have had this confirmed by multiple friends of ours who moved (either to a new city or just to a new school in Boston) and have told me that their kids had advanced skills and knowledge compared to their peers in their new schools. In addition, and importantly, the experience for the students is top-notch. My children genuinely love going to school, are excited to learn, and embrace each new year with enthusiasm and joy. Every year, my husband and I ask ourselves if we should keep our kids at ISB, and every year we immediately and unreservedly say YES.

Parent of a twelfth grader. We're getting nostalgic already but are so excited for our son who has just been admitted ED to Columbia. Amazingly diverse student body and faculty. Small classes but with a lot of individualized focus on students. Emphasis on student independence which we know will benefit him in NYC next year. I've heard admissions is getting increasingly competitive. We're thankful our son could get it when he did so many years ago!

We've been with ISB for several years now and my daughter is so happy with the program and with her friends. Teachers are amazing, dedicated, well-educated and really care about their students. Love the emphasis on building empathy and valuing the diversity of perspective. She is in middle school now and we plan to stay for the IB program in the upper school.

We've been with ISB for several years now. One child in middle school, the other in upper school. We were previously happy with the school but are even happier now with the recent change in leadership. Our children have thrived at ISB. They come from an English-speaking home, so the opportunity to connect them with another language and with a more globally focused curriculum and internationally diverse student community has been amazing.
