Assets School is located in Honolulu, Hawaii, and is an independent school for gifted and/or dyslexic children attending grades K-12.
Assets School provides students with knowledge, skills, and capabilities to live rich and meaningful lives, advance in their chosen careers, and improve communities in which they live and work.

Whether through acceleration or remediation, Assets offers a supportive, student-centered environment with small classes and a personalizedcurriculum that meetsstudents where they are. Students with learning differences who need a structured language intervention program are supported through multi-sensory approaches such as Orton-Gillingham, Slingerland, Project Read, and Math-U-See. Students of high potential are supported through Kaplan`s Differentiated-Integrated model as well as Renzulli`s model.
In addition to attending weekly resource classes in art, drama, music, PE, and tech, an eclectic, self-selected set of enrichment courses for K-8 students encourages curiosity, self-expression, and exploration of strengths and interests.
Our high school's Mentorship program helps students connect school and work and supports the cultivation of essential interpersonal and professional competencies in communication and collaboration,problem-solving and critical thinking, and work ethic and self-management.
Our Self-Directed Study classes, designed for independent high schoolers, allow them to define the trajectory of their own learning. Self-selected topics align with personal passions; learning objectives and evaluation processes are student-driven with teachers serving as guides who aid in problem-solving and hold students accountable for meeting their goals. Through our Self-Directed Study program, students may also take online courses on topics not offered in our program.
Relationships matter. Students who feelseen and heard are more invested in learning and responsive to their instructors. While primarily an academic setting, navigating the social aspects of school is critical to our students' overall well-being.

my daughter is 15 years old now, she is studying in HKG and just finished grade 9, but school result is not good. She is not interested in learning chinese even, so would like sending her to Honolulu for secondary school for learing if possible. I have a sister living in Honolulu too, so will be my daughter's guardian when staying in Honolulu. could you send me more details about your school to see if your school whether suit and fit for my child for studying.
