  • Established by Lutheran Churches throughout Indiana and Ohio, the agency was dedicated in 1879 as Wernle Orphan's Home.
  • While holding fast to its foundation as an expression of God's unchanging love and grace, the agency continues to develop innovative services to meet the ever changing needs of troubled children and their families in today's society.
  • Wernle Children's Home, Inc., a social ministry organization of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, is a not for profit organization solely responsible for its debts in the scope and depends upon support from churches, organizations and individuals.
