Mountain View Christian School (MVCS) is a Christ-centered, college-preparatory school located in downtown Las Vegas, serving students from preschool through 12th grade. Established in 1983, MVCS has a longstanding commitment to providing families with an education rooted in biblical truth while preparing students for academic success, leadership, service, and life beyond graduation.
At MVCS, education extends beyond academics. The school's philosophy centers on helping students understand that they are uniquely created by God, discover their individual gifts and passions, and develop the confidence and character to use those gifts to serve others. Leadership development is intentionally integrated throughout the educational experience, giving students opportunities to practice critical thinking, collaboration, communication, problem-solving, and real-world leadership.
Early Education & Preschool
MVCS provides a caring, Christ-centered environment for infants through Pre-Kindergarten. The preschool program combines structured curriculum with hands-on learning centers and opportunities for social-emotional development, outdoor play, creativity, exploration, Bible stories, and prayer. The program emphasizes kindergarten readiness while creating an environment where young children are known, loved, and encouraged to grow.
Elementary School
- The elementary program serves students in Kindergarten through 5th grade and provides a strong academic foundation within a Christ-centered community. Bible-based instruction is aligned with state and national standards and supported by technology and enrichment opportunities. Students participate in areas such as computer, art, physical education, music, and STEM while developing academically, spiritually, and socially.
Junior High
- The Junior High program serves students in grades 68 and focuses on helping students navigate an important period of academic, social, and spiritual growth. Students receive challenging coursework along with opportunities in technology, the arts, leadership, chapel, and service. MVCS emphasizes mentorship, character development, confidence, and preparation for success in high school and beyond.
High School
- The high school program serves students in grades 912 and is designed to prepare students for college, careers, and lives of Christian leadership. Students benefit from challenging academics, college and career preparation, dual-credit opportunities, athletics, fine arts, leadership opportunities, and faith-centered mentorship. The goal is to graduate students who are academically prepared, spiritually grounded, and ready to lead and serve in their communities and the world.
STEM & Innovation
- STEM is integrated throughout the MVCS educational experience from Kindergarten through high school. Students have opportunities to develop skills in science, mathematics, technology, computer science, programming, and robotics. STEM learning is designed to encourage creativity, problem-solving, curiosity, and preparation for an increasingly technology-driven world.
Character, Leadership & Faith
- Faith is at the heart of the MVCS experience. Students are encouraged to develop a biblical worldview while growing in character, confidence, responsibility, and leadership. Faculty, Reception ,Business office staff , security guards are all friendly and accommodating . You will feel at home . They answer your concern as much as possible. Although sometimes the sports secretary have a shortcoming with communicating with the parents and students. Which sometimes creating chaos with the schedules specially if they have an out of school games. Otherwise everything is good , the school is homely and spiritually envigorating for my child . I highly recommend this school
