We cannot say enough wonderful things about MacFeat Laboratory School. Before coming here, our 5-year-old son with ADHD was often punished for behaviors that were clearly connected to his symptoms rather than supported with understanding and guidance. We were heartbroken watching him struggle in environments that seemed to focus more on compliance than helping him succeed.MacFeat has been completely different. From the very beginning, the staff saw our child as capable, intelligent, and worthy of support. Instead of punishing him for being energetic, impulsive, or needing extra help with regulation, they worked with him patiently and intentionally to help him thrive. The growth we''ve seen in his confidence, behavior, and love of school has been incredible. One of the things we appreciate most is the school''s culturally relevant approach. Families are genuinely welcomed and included, and the materials, books, activities, and classroom environments reflect the children and communities they serve. That representation matters, and it creates such a warm and affirming environment for students and families alike.MacFeat has given our son the opportunity to experience success instead of shame, and as parents, that means everything to us. We are deeply grateful for the compassion, professionalism, and dedication of the entire staff.
